The dreaded NCLEX....

Last week I took my big, huge, ugly, scary, (insert any bad adjective here...) NCLEX. I have been preparing for this day since nursing school started and it was my last step before I could begin working as a Registered Nurse. I stressed myself out  to the max and might have even had a slight melt down the morning of my test (I blame most of the melt down on hormones, but regardless it still happened..). I got to the testing center and 220 something questions later my test shut off and the wait began to see if I passed. Matt took me to lunch to try to keep my spirits up, but lets be honest, I was pretty blah all afternoon.

7:00 the next morning I checked online and guess what I saw???

Its official! I can now add RN after my name. The best feeling in the world is when years of hard work finally pays off. I am so grateful for all the support my husband and family gave me through all the crazy and hard times. (and many meltdowns too, of course)

Now I am determined to find myself  a good book to read that has absolutely no educational value to it. :)

Baby Webster-- 20 Weeks

How far along: 20 Weeks-- That is halfway! I think it is a good excuse to celebrate right???

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 7-8 lbs

Maternity clothes: Nope, I still haven't bought anything that is "maternity". I am holding out as long as I can. :) Still wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans and shirts. My baby bump is starting to move up quite a bit which actually makes it easier to wear my original pants. We will see how long it lasts though.

Stretch marks: Still a no. I am just waiting for the day I find the first one.

Sleep: I am still sleeping pretty well. It's a good thing we upgraded to our king sized bed with all the pillows I have started sleeping with these days though. Poor Matt is getting pushed right out of bed between me, the pillows, and the dogs. Good thing he loves us all!

Best moment last week: This last weekend Matt painted the nursery. I love it! I can't wait to finish all the trim so that we can start putting things together. (I will post pictures soon!)

Movement: Still just here and there. I notice her the most when I am laying on my back really concentrating. I can't wait to feel her more and more, sometimes the reassurance that everything is ok would be nice!

Food cravings: 7-11 Nachos. If you've never had them, go, now! And get a slurpee while you are at it. :)

Gender: Girl. We have our big "anatomy" ultrasound next week with the doctor, so hopefully she is still a girl then. If not I guess Matt has a bunch more painting to do, and we have clothes to return...

Labor signs: Nope.

Belly button - in or out?  It is about breaking even right now.. not really in but definitely not out yet. But I don't see it staying in for long... bummer.

What I miss: This week I started wishing I could sleep on my stomach again. But I guess if that is as bad as it gets then I can handle 20 more weeks.

What I am looking forward to: Our ultrasound next week. I love seeing her, and it will be great to have the doctor check her out head to toe to make sure she is looking healthy!

Milestones: Definitely working on the nursery. I haven't been much help thus far but I have started a few things to put up in the room and I can't wait to see it all together!

Baby Webster-- 16 Weeks

I forgot to take a 16 week picture-- so instead here is 17 weeks!

How far along: 16 Weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  4 ish lbs

Maternity clothes: No, but I am rocking the hair elastic to keep my jeans buttoned. Sweet, I know!

Stretch marks: Nope!

Sleep: Actually pretty good. I am up 1-2 times to use the bathroom but I'm feeling good. Definitely not near as tired as I have been.

Best moment last week: Last week... Hmm.. We went on a quick weekend vacation to St. George. A very nice getaway! (Expect we are realizing that this time next year everything we do will be quite different.)

Movement: Yes. I think. Sometime in week 15 I started feeling what I thought was little flutters and I am getting more and more sure that I am feeling baby move.

Food cravings: Spicy and I are still BFF's!

Gender: Baby Webster is...... a GIRL!! We could not be more excited! Of course we would have been happy with a boy or a girl, but I can't wait to hold my baby girl in my arms! And Matt is very excited also!

Labor signs: No.

Belly button - in or out?  Still in.

What I miss: Hmmm... Honestly I am not missing much. I am feeling great and I wouldn't change where I am in my life for anything.

What I am looking forward to: Officially buying "girly" things! However, I have promised Matt I won't buy ONLY pink things. :)

Milestones: Finding out the gender of Baby Webster! I love getting to see her in the ultrasound pictures and getting to actually call her "her" instead of "baby". We are in love already!
