All Of Our Hard Work Will Pay Off.... Someday!

School is still the story of our lives (or so it seems). We cannot wait for the end of the semester, December cannot come quick enough! (Plus, that means Christmas. YAY! I cannot wait to decorate our house!)
Matt is working extra hard at the Fire Academy but is really enjoying it! This semester is extra busy for me, but once it is over I'm on the down hill side. (I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!) Since I graduate in April I have been telling Matt we need to plan a vacation for shortly after the spring semester.
We went back and forth with a few ideas till we FINALLY decided on what we wanted to do......
April 28th, 2013 we will be here:
Grand Cayman Island
On this:
Carnival Magic

We are going on the Western Caribbean Cruise! The ports include Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands, and Cozumel, Mexico. It will be such a nice vacation after such a crazy year. We can't wait!
P.S Anyone is welcome to join us, you know you want to!
P.P.S Only 207 days, just in case anyone was wondering.. :-)

High 5's

I love Ollie's newest trick, he gives high 5's, so of course I had to share. :)

And So It Begins.

School is officially here and we can't quite decide how we feel about it.

Matt started the fire academy yesterday which I think got him excited for the rest of the semester. Its going to definitely keep him beyond busy and a little worn out, but it's only a few months, right?? I am super excited for him and also very proud of him!

I am in my 3rd semester (of 4) of the nursing program at Weber. I am excited that I am on the down hill side but this semester is going to be CRAZY! Oh well I guess, if one of us is going to be busy we both might as well be!

According To My Mom...

According to my mom I suck at blogging. Yes, I know, I am horrible at keeping our blog up to date. BUT it is not for lack of trying, I just feel like I should have something interesting to blog about when I do. I am not saying we have boring lives; it's just that nothing over the top exciting has happened the last few weeks. I promise to TRY to be better, try is the key word there.

My little (bigger than me) brother turned 18 this last week! Can't believe he's already 18; I didn't manage to get a picture of him, BUT I got a cute one of us! :-)

Only a few more weeks till school starts (and then I will be even worse at blogging, I'm sure!) and we are trying to enjoy them as best we can. We have spent a lot of time with family this summer and also with friends. Hope these last few weeks are just as good!
We hope everyone has had a great summer as well!

Here's a few random pictures of our cute Ollie- he's still a lot of fun!

Someone was EXHAUSTED!

Happy 4th

Happy 4th Of July!!
Hope you got to spend time having
fun with family and friends like we did!

Happy Anniversary To Us!!

This post is late, but better late than never.. Right??

A year ago this was happening-

June 10th we celebrated our one year anniversary! Time has gone by so fast it is crazy. I feel like we have come so far in the last year, and I love it. We have been in our new house for just over a month, we just got a puppy (see previous post), I only have two semesters left of the nursing program, Matt will be attending UVU's fire academy starting in August, and most of all we have grown together more than I thought possible. It has been a great year and I can't wait for the rest of our many many years!! I love you Matt!! :-)
We are horrible at remembering to take pictures and our anniversary weekend falls into that category perfectly.. Opps! We did have a fun weekend though! We shopped a little and then drove to Park City where we shopped some more and ate a lot. Perfect weekend right?? It was a nice to have a weekend to just relax and hangout together. (And shopping is always a bonus!)

Here are a few (or bunch) of my favorite pictures from our wonderful wedding!

If you know me you know I can't wear a white shirt with out
wearing something before the day is over. Well... I can successfully say
I made it through the whole dayin my dress with no stains!
**We even ate pasta with marinara sauce at the luncheon!**

First Dance

My Girls :-)

My mom was such a huge help, couldn't
have done it with out her!

I love this picture of me and my dad.
He is such a wonderful guy. Love you dad!

We have fun together. :-)

Great ending to a great day!

Meet Ollie.

Matt and I had a deal- We buy a house; I get a dog. :-)
We closed on the house and moved in the last week of may and for my birthday, June 1st, I got this cute little guy as a surprise! Couldn't be happier!

Meet Ollie-

So cute!

He has been so fun to have around the house, but who would have thought having a puppy would be such hard work! Luckily we have great family that have lots of great tips and tricks to make the transition not so difficult.

One more picture just because he's cute! :-)
We have a sandbox in our backyard and he cannot get enough of it.

It's Official...

First we started out doing A LOT of this....

Then we signed A TON of these....

All so we could call this place OURS!!

As of May 25th we can officially say we are homeowners! We couldn't be more excited. We started this process what seems like forever ago (even though it had really only been a couple of months), and even through the ups and downs its has been more than worth it.
At times, okay lets be honest almost all of the time, I don't feel old/mature enough to be buying our first home, but so far it has been the greatest experience, and it has brought us closer to each other. Thanks to all of our wonderful family and friends we were able to get moved quickly and we can't wait to get all settled in!
(more pictures to come!)
